The ADB SAFEGATE team has been awarded the contract to install the cutting-edge Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) system at Bhogapuram Airport, a new airport development undertaken by GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Ltd (GVIAL) in Andhra Pradesh, India. In collaboration with Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T), ADB SAFEGATE will bring its state-of-the-art LED AGL systems to the project.
Bhartendu Mohan, the country director for India at ADB SAFEGATE, expressed excitement about the partnership with L&T and GMR for the Bhogapuram project. “We are thrilled to be able to work on this greenfield project with our partners,” said Mohan. “The implementation of our Airside 4.0 technology will not only improve operational efficiency at the airport but also set new benchmarks for safety and sustainability in the aviation sector.”
ADB SAFEGATE has a history of successful collaborations with both L&T and GMR Group, having worked on projects in cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Navi Mumbai. The Bhogapuram Airport endeavor underscores ADB SAFEGATE’s dedication to delivering innovative solutions for airports worldwide, with a focus on enhancing safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
