Bloomberg reports Apple’s decision to not integrate Meta’s AI due to security concerns

Recently, Apple announced its new AI system, Apple Intelligence, at its Annual Developers Conference. The company also unveiled a collaboration with OpenAI. During the conference, Apple mentioned integrating ChatGPT and suggested the possibility of running Gemini from Alphabet on its devices in the future.

However, it was reported that Apple had contacted Meta Platforms to discuss integrating its AI models but has decided not to proceed with the partnership due to concerns about privacy practices. While Meta Platforms offers innovative AI solutions, Apple believes that their security practices are not strict enough to meet its standards.

Despite rejecting Meta Platforms’ proposal in March, Apple is open to exploring partnerships with other AI companies to enhance its offerings. Currently, the company is in negotiations with Anthropic to potentially include their technology in Apple Intelligence. However, there have been no further developments regarding a partnership with Perplexity AI.
