Barkin’ Beans Coffee Co., a popular dog-friendly coffee shop in Silvis, Illinois, has announced that it will be closing down next month. Despite multiple efforts to save the business, including extending hours, changing strategies, fundraising and reaching out on social media, the coffee shop located at 1251 Avenue of the Cities has not been able to recover from its financial struggles.
In a post on Facebook, the business owner expressed their gratitude to their loyal customers and supporters, saying that they have exhausted all resources and are unable to recover. They mentioned selling as much inventory as possible before closing and assured customers that they will keep them informed about the specific closing date.
Despite the upcoming closure, Barkin’ Beans Coffee Co. has a Corgis and Coffee event planned for April 6 at 10 a.m. and is still looking forward to hosting the event. The business owner thanked everyone for their support and appreciation, expressing love for their customers and the community.
The coffee shop’s closure is a reminder of the challenges faced by small businesses, especially in the current economic climate. It serves as a call for continued support for local businesses and the impact they have on the community.
