Bartlesville High Baseball Bids Adieu to Seniors in Style with Sweeping Win over Muskogee

Bartlesville High baseball completed its District season with a dominating performance against Muskogee. The team clinched a two-game sweep over the Roughers, with a thrilling 4-1 win at Rigdon Field on Tuesday evening. The victory was a special moment for the senior players, as they bid farewell to their high school careers in style.

The Bruins took control of the game early on, scoring three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. A string of six consecutive batters reaching base, five of them through singles, allowed Bartlesville to establish a commanding 3-0 lead. Brett Eaves’ base hit drove in Brenden Asher to kickstart the scoring, with help from a Muskogee error.

In his final pitching appearance at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium as a Bruin, Brenden Asher delivered an impressive performance. He pitched a complete seven innings, allowing only one unearned run while working around seven hits. Asher showcased his skills by striking out five of the seven batters in the last two innings, including a crucial strikeout to end the game.

As the District season comes to an end, Bartlesville is eagerly anticipating its Regional pairing. The playoffs are expected to begin next week on either Wednesday or Thursday, providing the team with an opportunity to continue their successful momentum and make it all the way to State Championships.
