Laurel also had a comeback win over South Side in Section 2-2A with a two-run walk-off single in the seventh inning. Both teams will meet again on Wednesday.

On the softball front, North Hills and Penn Hills will face off on Wednesday in their Section 1-5A opener. North Hills is currently 3-1, while Penn Hills has won its first two nonsection games decisively. After a few more section contests, the teams will meet again in two weeks at North Hills.
