The United States is finalizing its roster for the 2024 Paris Olympics men’s basketball team, which includes some of the most iconic players in the game such as LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and Joel Embiid. The team is being led by managing director Grant Hill, who has left one spot open for a player to be added after a July training camp in Las Vegas.
The 11-man roster also includes Anthony Davis, Devin Booker, Bam Adebayo, and Tyrese Haliburton. Steve Kerr, coach of the team, will be coaching Curry and Durant, who has won three men’s basketball Olympic gold medals, tying him with Carmelo Anthony.
LeBron James, who is playing in his fourth Olympics, has previously won a bronze medal in 2004 and gold medals in 2008 and 2012. Haliburton and Edwards are the only players from the 2023 FIBA World Cup team that have been selected for the Olympics, showcasing the team’s mix of experience and upcoming talent.
