A brand-new flag football team is set to launch in Quincy this spring

Boston Brigade, a new professional flag football team, is set to launch its inaugural season in Quincy, Massachusetts. The team will play in the American Flag Football League (AFFL) and will be based at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium. The team is one of the first four professional flag football teams ever established and is gearing up for their home double-header on May 11 against the Nashville Nighthawks and Las Vegas Lucky Sevens.

The Boston Brigade’s season will consist of eight games, starting on April 27 in Las Vegas and ending on June 15 in Nashville. The championship game will be held on June 22 in Dallas. The team is confident that the timing of their launch aligns perfectly with the increasing popularity of flag football, especially with the sport being added to the 2028 Olympics. This move will not only bring more excitement to Boston’s sports scene but will also add to the city’s storied history in athletics.

Meanwhile, former BSU quarterback James Cahoon showcased his skills at Holy Cross Pro Day on March 21, 2024. His impressive performance caught the eye of NFL scouts in attendance and put him on the radar of professional football teams looking for potential talent.
