Over 20,000 fans gathered at Maksimir to witness the final match of the Croatian national football team against Armenia in the qualifiers for Euro 2024. The excitement was palpable as one fan, Rafael Beserra, stood out from the rest.

Bessera is a Brazilian who has been a lifelong fan of the “fire” and his dream was to meet Luka Modrić (38). He achieved this dream when he was introduced to the public at the end of the League of Nations in Rotterdam. Not long after, Bessera received an invitation from the Croatian Tourist Board and decided to visit Croatia as a guest of honor. He was so impressed with Zagreb that he decided to move there and study Croatian while living out his dream.

During an interview with us at Maksimir, Bessera spoke about his experience watching the national team in Croatia for the first time and how happy he was to be there. He also shared his prediction for the match, stating that he believed it would end in a convincing victory for “the fire,” with Modrić, Ivanušec, and Majer being the scorers. Furthermore, Bessera’s dedication to our national team is evident by the fact that he has already purchased tickets for Euro 2024 in Germany.
