Breaking News: Foxtrot Files for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Five Months After Merger, Leaving Thousands of Employees in Limbo

According to a report from Eater Chicago, Foxtrot, a company formed through the merger of Foxtrot and Dom’s Hospitality, has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. This news comes just five months after the merger took place and resulted in the closure of all Foxtrot stores in Texas, D.C., and Illinois. Google Maps shows that all Dallas locations of Foxtrot are permanently closed, and their website has been taken down.

Initially, the bankruptcy was first mentioned in the newsletter Snaxshot which noted that Dom’s did not place their usual grocery order the week prior. On Tuesday morning, employees of Foxtrot were notified via conference call that stores would be closing by noon CT and were advised not to discuss this information with customers. With approximately 1,000 workers employed across multiple states, the closure of Foxtrot will have a significant impact.

Foxtrot previously had four locations in Dallas, including Greenville Ave., Knox-Henderson, Uptown on Hillcrest and McKinney. Despite reaching out for comment, a representative from Eater Dallas had not received a response by the time of publication.
