Bud Dupree, a free-agent edge rusher, may soon be joining a new team after completing a visit with the Chargers. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Falcons and Steelers have also shown interest in Dupree.
Dupree began his career as a first-round pick for the Steelers in 2015 and spent six seasons with the team before signing with the Titans in 2021. In his most recent season with the Falcons, he recorded 6.5 sacks, eight tackles for loss, and eight QB hits along with three passes defensed and two forced fumbles in 16 games.
In his career of 119 games with 99 starts, Dupree has accumulated 53.0 sacks, 70 tackles for loss, and 90 QB hits. At age 31, he is a proven pass rusher with experience in the league and could be a valuable addition to any team in need of a strong defensive presence.
