The MUSC Global Health Week poster session welcomes abstracts in all areas of global health. Submissions must be in narrative form and should not include tables, charts, or graphs. The abstract should be a maximum of 300 words, not including the title. The submitting author is expected to attend the event and present the poster, and must obtain pre-approval from any co-authors before submitting the abstract.
To be accepted, abstracts must be well-organized, concise, clear, and well-written. They should include the problem being addressed and the approach to the problem. While providing preliminary results is suggested but not required, results will be required for the final poster. Authors must also establish a clear connection between their work and outcomes related to global health.
The committee will evaluate submissions based on originality, presentation, relevance, quality, and clarity. They will recommend which submissions should be included in the poster session. Authors will be notified of acceptance by March 29 with detailed instructions on poster preparation sent with the acceptance notice.
