On Sol 1398, after a brief pause to address a safe mode anomaly, Curiosity resumed its scientific operations. The day began with ChemCam and Mastcam observations of the target “Luanda” to study the composition of the local bedrock. Mastcam also captured images of blocky deposits and stratification within the Murray formation.
Following the scientific observations, Curiosity drove approximately 76 meters and took post-drive images for future targeting. In the afternoon, there were additional observations using Navcam and Mastcam to study the atmosphere. Overnight, Curiosity conducted the final CheMin analysis of the Oudam drill sample.
