During Public Health Week in Detroit, residents can receive free health screenings from April 1 through April 6. Hosted by the Detroit Health Department, this event is open to everyone and does not require appointments, IDs, or health insurance to participate. The department has collaborated with Detroit police precincts, recreation centers, and other community partners to facilitate the screenings and activities.
The theme for this year is “Centering and Celebrating Culture in Health.” Residents can take advantage of various free health screenings and activities geared towards promoting a healthy lifestyle during the week.
