Dodgers Dominate Marlins in Homestand with Six-Game Winning Streak, Head to San Diego for Padres Series

The Los Angeles Dodgers have just completed a successful homestand with a 3-1 win over the Miami Marlins. The victory extended their winning streak to six games, and they are now heading to San Diego for a three-game series against the Padres.

The game was quick, lasting just 1 hour and 55 minutes. Teoscar Hernández hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning, which proved to be the key moment of the game. Freddie Freeman had started the inning with a double, and Hernández followed with a home run off Ryan Weathers.

The Dodgers’ starting pitcher, Gavin Stone, pitched seven innings and gave up only one run on six hits while striking out four. This was an impressive performance by Stone and the Dodgers’ rotation has been performing well during the homestand. In fact, five starters went at least six innings and posted an ERA of 2.33 with 31 strikeouts and only four walks.

Bryan De La Cruz hit a solo home run in the fourth inning for Miami, which was their only run scored during the game. Daniel Hudson closed out the game for Los Angeles, retiring the Marlins in order for his second save of the season. Weathers took the loss for Miami, allowing three runs and five hits in six innings. The Marlins continue to be impacted by injuries, as RHP Edward Cabrera was placed on the injured list for
