Dove Science Academy Leads the Way with Wi-Fi 7 Technological Upgrade for Enhanced Learning Experience

Dove Science Academy, a Tulsa charter school, is undergoing a significant technological upgrade to its internet capabilities. The school is set to become the first Pre-K through 12th grade school in the United States to implement the new WiFi standard known as “WIFI-7.” This change comes as Dove Schools is in the process of remodeling their new facility to accommodate the merging of Dove High School to its campus next year.

With nearly 1,000 students using Chromebooks on campus, having a reliable and high-bandwidth network is crucial. The introduction of Wi-Fi 7 technology will offer students faster upload and download speeds, as well as improved connectivity both indoors and outdoors. According to John Franklin, Dove Science Academy is committed to advancing STEM education by ensuring students have access to the latest technology. By future-proofing their infrastructure, they aim to prepare students for the demands of the workforce, particularly in fields like computer science and coding.

The installation of Wi-Fi 7 at the campus is expected to be completed and fully operational by the 2024-2025 school year. This investment in technology reflects Dove Science Academy’s dedication to providing their students with the tools and resources necessary to succeed in an increasingly digital world.
