In order to better understand the health concerns of communities in eastern North Carolina, ECU Health is currently seeking feedback through a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). This input is crucial for the health system to develop strategies that will improve and promote good health in the region. Conducted every three years, the CHNA serves as a foundation for enhancing healthcare services and addressing critical health challenges in these communities.
ECU Health values community engagement and encourages all residents aged 15 and older to participate in the CHNA survey by providing their insights on how they can enhance wellness and address pressing health issues in eastern North Carolina. The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete, and all responses remain confidential. Feedback from this survey will help ensure that healthcare needs are met in the 29 counties ECU Health serves. The survey will be open until June 7, 2024.
The CHNA process involves collecting comprehensive data, including demographic, socioeconomic, and health-related statistics. However, it is the insights provided directly by community members that are most valuable in helping ECU Health prioritize strategies aimed at meeting their specific needs and improving the overall health of eastern North Carolina.
The results of the analysis will be used to develop targeted strategies aimed at addressing community-specific health concerns and improving overall well-being in these areas. The CHNA survey is available in both English and Spanish via a provided link for easy accessibility to all residents of eastern North Carolina.
