Students Gain Valuable Insights at Health Care Professions and Majors Fair.

The Health Education Pathways Program recently hosted a Professions and Majors in Health Care Fair at the Titan Student Union Pavilion on March 12. The event aimed to introduce students to various professional fields and job opportunities in health care and behavioral health care, as well as the educational pathways to prepare for these fields.

The fair attracted a total of 251 students, including CSUF students, community college students, and high school students from Anaheim Union High School District and Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District. Fifteen professional organizations participated in the event, many of which are major employers of CSUF graduates and well-known in Southern California.

Some of the organizations present at the fair were Orange County Health Care Agency, Hoag Hospital, Kaiser Permanente, Children’s Hospital of Orange County, Veterans Affairs Administration, and more. CSUF departments, such as Aging Studies, Counseling, Kinesiology, Public Health, School of Nursing, and Social Work, were also represented at the fair.

The attendees found it beneficial to learn about the various professional fields within health and behavioral health care, as well as the educational pathways to pursue a career in these fields. Many expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to connect with professionals in their desired field and gain valuable insights into potential job opportunities.
