Greg Van Roten makes a visit to the Seahawks

John Schneider, the General Manager of the Seattle Seahawks, has identified the interior offensive line as a key need for the team. In order to address this need, he mentioned that they will be considering options in both the draft and free agency. Although the draft is still several weeks away, the Seahawks are actively exploring free agent options. One such option is veteran guard Greg Van Roten, who will be meeting with the team on Wednesday.

Throughout his career, Van Roten has had starting roles with several teams including the Raiders, Bills, Jets and Panthers after entering the league as an undrafted free agent with the Packers in 2012. The Seahawks have also shown interest in Laken Tomlinson and Cody Whitehair, but as of now, they have not visited Seattle.

The meeting with Van Roten is a clear indication of the Seahawks’ commitment to addressing their need for reinforcements on the interior offensive line before the draft. It will be interesting to see how these potential moves pan out and how they will impact the team’s performance in the upcoming season.
