Emma Corrin, the 28-year-old British actress who has won multiple awards, including Critics Choice and Golden Globe awards, SAG and Emmy Award nominations, is featured on this week’s episode of The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast. Recorded in front of a group of film students at Chapman University, Corrin discussed her career-defining role as Princess Diana in season four of Netflix’s The Crown in 2020. In addition to her work on The Crown, Corrin also talked about her personal journey of identity and her Emmy-buzzed performance in the FX limited series A Murder at the End of the World.
In A Murder at the End of the World, created by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij, Corrin plays Darby Hart in two different time periods six years apart. In the first period, she is an amateur detective investigating cold-case murders with her then-boyfriend Bill. In the second period, she is an acclaimed author, invited to a billionaire’s retreat where Bill, who she hasn’t seen in six years and is now a famous artist, is found dead. This presents her with a personal mystery to solve.
Corrin has also appeared in several films in recent years, including My Policeman and Lady Chatterley’s Lover. She will soon be seen in Deadpool & Wolverine and Nosferatu. With such a diverse range of roles under her belt, it’s clear that Corrin is an incredibly talented actress who continues to excel in all aspects of her career.
