Germany to host DGG glass technology conference

The 97th Glass-Technology Conference is set to take place in Aachen, Germany from May 27 – 29. This conference is organized by the German Society of Glass Technology (DGG) and will be held at the Eurogress in Aachen. Its primary objective is to bring together industry professionals, researchers, and students to share knowledge, network, and explore current developments and challenges within the glass sector.

The event’s program will feature a wide range of topics relevant to both scientific exploration and practical application of glass. With submissions from 20 countries, the conference offers a global perspective on the latest advancements and research in the field. Sessions will include discussions on glass science and technology such as the chemistry and structure of glasses, glass physics, properties, and characterisation, glass-ceramics and crystallization in glasses, sustainable practices in glass melting forming and post-processing, glasses for better life and computational glass science and technology.

In addition to these sessions, attendees can participate in poster sessions, excursions, extended breaks, and social events aimed at fostering professional connections among attendees.
