Farmer’s Fridge, a national food delivery company, has been utilizing Samsara technology to monitor the temperature inside its refrigerated cargo vans and ensure safe deliveries. With 125 employees across the country, including some working in remote markets, visibility has been greatly improved thanks to Samsara’s tools.
Steven Berczynski, fleet and safety manager at Farmer’s Fridge, explained that using Samsara technology has helped establish and maintain a strong safety culture within the company. One of the key features of this technology is real-time safety alerts integrated directly into Slack. This integration allows staff to quickly check in with drivers after a harsh event such as a hard brake or accident. Berczynski also showed several dashcam videos from the company’s drivers experiencing such events during a tour.
In addition to ensuring safe deliveries, Farmer’s Fridge uses Samsara technology for environmental monitoring to maintain the quality of its food products. This holistic approach to safety and quality control has enabled continued growth and success for the company.
