From Oil Engineering to Billionaire: The Rise of Greystar CEO Bob Faith

Greystar CEO Bob Faith, a global real estate firm founder and chairman, has been named to Forbes’ “World’s Billionaire List,” which highlights the richest people around the globe. With a net worth of $5.8 billion, he ranks No. 511 on the list and recently climbed to No. 505 in real-time net worth ranking.

French fashion and retail mogul Bernard Arnault and family top the list with a net worth of $233 billion, followed by Americans Elon Musk ($195 billion) and Jeff Bezos ($194 billion). The full list can be accessed on Forbes’ website.

In 2023, Faith ranked No. 182 on the Forbes 400 Richest People in America list. He has overseen all aspects of Greystar for three decades since founding it in 1993. His responsibilities include managing organizational structure, strategic planning, and company growth. Faith holds a bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and previously served as the South Carolina secretary of commerce from 2002-06.
