At Silver Bluff, Bing excels in multiple sports including girls’ basketball, cheer, and track and field. Her love for physical activity is instilled in her by her athletic family who always encouraged her to stay engaged in sports. Bing values the importance of setting goals both inside and outside of the classroom, and she plans to pursue a degree in biology at Livingstone College.

Bing is drawn to the HBCU environment of Livingstone College because it aligns with her values and interests. She looks forward to being surrounded by individuals who share similar backgrounds and experiences as her. Bing hopes to create a supportive community at Livingstone College that mirrors the one she had at Silver Bluff. Coach Shauna Barfield praised Bing’s selflessness as an athlete, noting how she dedicated herself to the relay team despite having no prior experience. Thanks to Bing’s focus on team events rather than individual competitions, her team placed second at the state championship.

On the other hand, Walker has fulfilled his lifelong dream of continuing his track and field career by signing with Limestone College. Walker reflected on how discipline was required for him to forgo social events and concentrate solely on his athletic pursuits, which ultimately led him to succeed at a higher level of competition.
