The Texans have recently added Kilian Zierer to their international/exempt list, a native of Munich, Germany. Zierer is a late starter in football who began playing at the age of 16 and quickly caught the attention of scouts with his impressive physical attributes – standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing 304 pounds, with a wingspan of 83 5/8. This led to him earning a college scholarship and playing at the College of the Canyons.
Despite going undrafted, Zierer signed with Auburn as a free agent in 2023. During his time at Auburn, he started every game at left tackle for the Tigers in 2022. Rivals ranked Zierer as the No.1 JUCE prospect at his position when he signed with Auburn. Unfortunately, his time with the team was cut short when he suffered an ankle injury during training camp, landing him on injured reserve.
Zierer’s journey from being a late starter in football to catching the eye of top college programs and ultimately landing a spot with the Texans showcases his determination and talent. His potential is evident, and Texans fans can look forward to seeing what he can bring to the team once he recovers from his injury.
