Outfielder Eddie Rosario has returned to the Braves organization for the second time. The former postseason hero played a crucial role in the team’s 2021 World Series run and won the NLCS Most Valuable Player award. During the postseason, Rosario appeared in all 16 games and had an impressive batting average of .560 with three home runs against the Dodgers.
After signing a two-year contract with the Braves following the World Series victory, Rosario struggled in 2023 and was not picked up for his $9 million club option. However, he found success with the Washington Nationals in 2024, hitting .183 in 67 games.
Now at age 32, Rosario is returning to his former team and will be reporting to AAA Gwinnett Braves. It will be interesting to see how he adapts to this new opportunity and what he can bring to the Braves organization once again.
Rosario was a vital player during their run to win the World Series title in 2021, and his return could bring some much-needed experience and depth to their outfield lineup. He has proven himself as a valuable asset on and off the field, making him an exciting addition to any team looking for production from their outfielders.
The Braves have been working hard over the offseason to rebuild their roster after missing out on a playoff spot last season. With Rosario back in town, they are one step closer to filling out their lineup and competing for a spot in October next year.
