Green Business Workshop in Northwest Colorado happening this week

The Yampa Valley Sustainability Council and Steamboat Springs Chamber are collaborating to present the second installment of their “Business Leadership for Climate” workshop series on Wednesday. This event is open to local business owners and organizations, and will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Routt County Health and Human Services Community Room in Steamboat Springs.

During this workshop, attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the green business program in Colorado, learn how to navigate the recognition application process, and discover strategies for accumulating points towards certification. The goal of the event is to promote the growth of the Yampa Valley green business community and facilitate discussions about green business opportunities and challenges.

Lunch will be provided by Hypnotic Chicken with energy bars from Bar-U-Eat. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is necessary. Those unable to attend can still get more information by attending office hours hosted by the Colorado Green Business Network of the Yampa Valley team at Bud Werner Memorial Library Coffee Bar on the last Wednesday of every month from 8:30-9:30 a.m. No RSVP is required, and attendees can drop in, enjoy a free coffee and snack, and get more information about green businesses in their area.
