Honoring the Best: ‘Sports Mom of the Year’ Nominations Close on May 3rd, Celebrate Mothers Everywhere!

In the world of sports, mothers play a crucial role in supporting their children and inspiring them to reach their full potential. That’s why we are honoring a “Sports Mom of the Year” every year on Mother’s Day, which falls on May 12th this year. To nominate a deserving mother, you can submit her name and explain why she should be recognized by 9 p.m. on May 3rd.

There are many ways to make a nomination, including emailing Kyle Neddenriep at kyle.neddenriep@indystar.com or leaving a voicemail with contact information at (317) 444-6649. Last year, the award was shared by Crystal Clark and Amy Dinwiddie. Previous winners include Susie Strange in 2022, Kris Schepers in 2021, Kathy Loggan in 2020, and Angie Young in 2019.

If you know a mother who has made a difference in the sports world and deserves to be recognized, don’t hesitate to submit a nomination. Call Star reporter Kyle Neddenriep at (317) 444-6649 to learn more or to make a nomination today!
