The suit was filed Tuesday against Avid Telecom, its legal business enterprise entity Michael D. Lansky LLC, CEO Michael Lansky and vice president Stacey S. Reeves.

They are accused of violating the Phone Customer Protection Act, the Telemarketing Sales Rule and other federal and state telemarketing and customer laws, the news release mentioned.

“Avid Telecom is accountable for millions of illegal spam calls. The lawsuit says Avid Telecom’s alleged robocalls ran the gamut of scam and scare subjects, such as:

Idaho’s Workplace of Lawyer Basic belongs to the bipartisan Anti-Robocall Multistate Litigation Activity Force that contains 51 state attorneys common.
