Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel discussed running back De’Von Achane’s injury in a recent statement. On Monday, McDaniel stated that Achane is seeking “extra feedback” about the injury and emphasized the team’s desire to ensure they aren’t putting the back at any undue risk by allowing him to return to the field.
It was mentioned that Achane was pushing to go back into Sunday’s game against the Raiders after hurting his knee. However, despite being in his first game back from a stint on injured reserve and hurting the same knee that put him on the list initially, the team is still considering whether he will be able to play against the Jets this Friday.
McDaniel pointed out that it is a little complicated because they have to factor in all these concerns. He noted that it is important not to put a player in a situation where their best performance isn’t up to their own standard. The team is still awaiting a decision regarding Achane’s availability for the upcoming game against the Jets.
