Kim Petras, a 31-year-old superstar, has announced on social media that she will be taking a break from performing at scheduled festival appearances this summer due to health issues. Although she did not provide any details about her health concerns, she expressed her deep disappointment at having to cancel her appearances and promised to make it up to her fans soon.
Despite the cancellations, Petras is set to perform at various festivals in the future, including Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Spain; Mighty Hoopla in London, England; Primavera Porto in Porto, Portugal; and Capitol Hill Block Party in Seattle, Wash. She was also announced as the headliner for LadyLand 2024, the annual Pride festival produced by nightlife connoisseur Ladyfag.
In September 2023, Petras released her French-pop album Problématique via Republic / Amigo Records. Featuring 10 tracks of ecstatic pop sounds ranging from funk to R&B-pop to bratty, materialistic pop jams, the album showcased Petras’ diverse musical talents. This album followed the release of Feed the Beast in June 2023 and marked Petras’ second album of the year. She also released Slut Pop Miami in February 2024 as part of her steady stream of new music.
