President and CEO of Danforth Plant Science Center resigns from position

Donald Danforth Plant Science Center CEO Jim Carrington, PhD, has announced that he will be stepping down on July 1, 2025. In his statement, Dr. Carrington expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to lead the center for the past 13 years. He credited the center’s exceptional people, partners, and supporters for the success they have achieved during his tenure. Penny Pennington, managing partner at Edward Jones and chair of the Danforth Center Board of Directors, will lead the search for a new President. Pennington praised Dr. Carrington for his leadership and the impact he has had on the center, noting the growth and new partnerships that have been established under his guidance.
