Opening Date Announced for Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown

After nearly two years of construction, the Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown is set to open soon. The center announced on Wednesday that its new location at PPL Pavilion in downtown Allentown will open on May 22. This new facility spans 67,000 square feet and offers interactive experiences, such as exploring the inner workings of the human body and getting an up-close visit with North American River Otters in the Pocono Ravine, according to a Da Vinci Science Center news release.

In addition to the interactive exhibits, the center will also house classrooms, laboratories, and interactive workshops. Lin Erickson, Executive Director and CEO, expressed her excitement about welcoming the community to the Lehigh Valley’s newest premier science center. She mentioned that the vision for a world-class science center would not have been possible without the strong support from everyone in the Lehigh Valley and beyond. The mission of the center is to bring science to life and to inspire lives through science. Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s insatiable curiosity, this new science center aims to immerse visitors in experiences unlike any other.

The current location of the Da Vinci Science Center at Cedar Crest College will close on April 1, with tickets for the new center going on sale in mid-April. Those interested in learning more can visit davincisciencecenter.org for additional information. Years in the making,
