On the night of November 14th, Fayette County deputies arrested Desjuan Toliver, a 29-year-old man from LaGrange, for loitering, prowling, and criminal intent to commit burglary. The arrest occurred at approximately 2:15 a.m. following a suspicious person call at a business near Kenwood Road.
A 911 caller had reported seeing someone wearing a ski mask and peering into the business’s windows. When deputies arrived on the scene, they found Toliver matching the description provided by the caller. Deputies noticed that Toliver was carrying pieces of concrete to the storefront, indicating his intention to break into the closed business.
During a search of Toliver’s person, deputies discovered car keys hidden in his sock. They also found a GMC Yukon and a trailer parked several businesses away containing more pieces of concrete, ratchet straps, and moving blankets. This additional evidence confirmed Toliver’s criminal intent.
Toliver was subsequently booked into the Fayette County Jail and is facing charges of loitering, prowling, and criminal intent to commit burglary.
