Catherine Rogers, a senior at Webster Thomas High School, has been recognized as the Advantage Federal Credit Union’s Girls Sports Athlete of the Week with over 30,000 votes. In her recent game against Churchville-Chili, she displayed her versatility by scoring in four different ways: throwing a touchdown pass, scoring a rushing touchdown, catching a touchdown pass and also intercepting a pass for a touchdown.
Every Monday during the spring season, polls to determine the Athlete of the Week from the previous week’s top performances are launched on democratandchronicle.com. It is up to readers to vote for who they believe deserves recognition as Section V’s best athlete. The polls will remain open until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, with winners being announced first on the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle’s Instagram page at instagram.com/dandcsports.
