Lola Cars Joins Forces with Yamaha in Formula E Collaboration: Pioneering Electrified Motorsport Technology

Lola Cars, the iconic motorsport brand known for its numerous championship wins, is teaming up with Yamaha Motor Company to compete in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship from Season 11. This partnership will introduce an evolution of the current GEN3 race car and will focus on creating a unique electrified platform with software at its core.

Heiji Maruyama, Managing Executive Officer and Director at Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd., expressed excitement about the collaboration with Lola Cars Ltd. He emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainability through research and development of new technologies. The partnership in Formula E represents an opportunity to advance energy management technologies through high-level electric racing, aligning with both companies’ philosophy of sustainable motorsport.
