The first Safford Spotlight on Small Business event is just around the corner, and seats are quickly filling up. Taking place at the Manor 415 Convention Center on Monday, April 1st, this event presents an excellent opportunity for small business owners to connect with city officials and discuss ways in which the city can better support their growth.
The event will feature a lineup of notable speakers, including Safford Mayor Richard Ortega, City Manager John Cassella, and other members of the city staff. Attendees will have the chance to share their experiences and offer suggestions for improvement, as well as learn about various business licensing requirements and the role of the city’s Planning and Community Development Department.
The Financial Crimes Network of the IRS will also be discussing new reporting requirements that small businesses should be aware of. This event is perfect for both seasoned entrepreneurs and those just starting out, as there is always something new to learn. The event will begin with a continental breakfast and networking at 7 am, followed by a 90-minute program at 7:30 am.
Attendance is free of charge, but seats must be reserved online through Eventbrite. This event is sponsored by several local organizations, including the City of Safford, the Graham County Chamber of Commerce, the Small Business Development Center at Eastern Arizona College, and the Safford Downtown Association.
