St. Louis Cardinals have signed former Chicago White Sox pitcher Lance Lynn for a one-year deal worth $10 million for the 2024 season, with an option for 2025 that could increase the contract to $26 million. The news was reported by Jon Heyman of MLB Network.

Lynn began the 2023 season with the White Sox before being traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers. With the White Sox, he had a 6-9 record and a 6.47 ERA, while with the Dodgers, he went 7-2 with a 4.36 ERA. Prior to his time with the White Sox, Lynn spent six seasons of his career with the Cardinals, where he won a World Series ring in 2011 and a National League pennant in 2013.
