The North East Independent College District is expanding mental wellness solutions for students and households.
A $two.six million grant was authorized by Bexar County Commissioners to raise access to mental wellness experts, such as hiring social workers and assistance employees and contracting with a neighborhood vendor to supply more licensed mental wellness experts.
The funding comes from the American Rescue Program Act (ARPA), which federal pandemic-recovery funds to bolster current mental wellness applications and assist get started new ones, according to a press release from NEISD.
