The Croatian striker, Ante Budimir, was the hero of the team in their recent qualification match against Armenia. Despite not being invited to the game prior to its start, Budimir took his chance and scored a crucial goal for Croatia’s victory. This win qualified Croatia for the Euros in Germany.

Budimir spoke after the game about his happiness at being part of this gathering and how he had always dreamed of playing for Croatia. He said that he was dedicated to scoring a goal and that he had done so without hesitation. He also dedicated the goal to his family members who were present at the match, saying that sometimes they don’t understand what he does but today they would see something concrete from him.
