The Health Benefits of Spending Time in Nature: Highlight of April 17th OneOp Webinar

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and OneOp are joining forces to host a webinar on April 17 that focuses on improving health and wellness through connecting with nature. The webinar will take place from 10-11 a.m. and will be hosted by OneOp, a virtual professional development platform for providers who serve military families.

To register for the free webinar, participants can visit the AgriLife Extension website at https://tx.ag/OneOpNature. After registering, attendees will receive an email with instructions on how to access the webinar. For those unable to access the link, the webinar will also be available on YouTube Live. Technical support is available by contacting OneOp at contact@oneop.org.

The webinar will offer up to one continuing education unit for many professional programs, with more details and a complete list available on the OneOp website. Rachel Brauner, Program Specialist at AgriLife Extension in Bryan-College Station, will discuss the latest research on the health benefits of spending time in nature, as well as practical programs and initiatives for participants to consider. Debra Kellstedt, a specialist at AgriLife Extension in Bryan-College Station, will be the featured speaker and will cover topics such as identifying health and wellness benefits of nature, discussing enablers and barriers to connecting with nature regularly, and exploring programs that help individuals, families
