Tim Boyle has been named as the starting quarterback for the Jets to face the Dolphins, replacing Zach Wilson. This decision was made after Wilson’s poor performance against the Bills, despite head coach Robert Saleh’s earlier comments about believing in him. It remains uncertain what Boyle can achieve with the Jets offense. He has only started three games in his NFL career, all of which resulted in losses for his previous team, the Lions. His career stats include a 60.8 completion rate, 607 passing yards, three touchdowns, nine interceptions and a passer rating of 50.9. These numbers do not give much optimism but Saleh has decided to give him a chance to prove himself as Jets’ starting quarterback. The question that arises is whether Boyle will perform better than Wilson.
