Second Regional CEO Pitch Showcases Young Entrepreneurs’ Business Ideas

Young entrepreneurs from the multi-county CEO program in Mt. Sterling, Illinois, were featured at the second annual Regional CEO Pitch. High school students from McDonough, Hancock, Pike, Brown, and Schuyler counties showcased their business ideas to three judges. The program emphasizes responsibility and dedication in young adults, teaching them how to become successful in life.

Maycie McCombs, creator of Maycie’s Meals, emphasized the seriousness of the program and stated that it was not for those looking for fun. Karly Gallaher, founder of Karly’s Kare, also found the experience valuable in developing her communication and life skills.

The winners of the pitch were Justice Keene with his local broadcast “Bomber Sports Network” in first place, Karly Gallaher with senior home health care service “Karly’s Kare” in second place and Wesley McEwan with 3D printing service “Dream 3D” in third place. These young entrepreneurs will also have an opportunity to showcase their businesses at a trade show on April 12 at Crossing Camp in Rushville, Illinois which is open to the public.
