NFL partners with health clinic to provide vaccines and dental care

On Saturday, April 20, St. Luke CME Church in the Buena Vista area of Nashville will be hosting a health clinic that offers free dental services, diapers, vaccines and more. The event is a partnership between NFL Alumni Tennessee, Meharry Medical College’s CEAL Program and St. Luke CME Church.

The clinic will take place from 12 to 4 p.m., and attendees can expect to enjoy music, free food and exercise classes as well. This initiative is part of the NFL Alumni’s “Gear up Tennessee” program which aims to promote healthy lifestyles and provide access to healthcare for the Nashville community.

Former Titans players including Al Smith, Brad Hopkins, Derrick Mason, Albert Haynesworth, Joey Kent and Neil O’Donnell will be present at the event to sign autographs and take photos with fans. The vaccines against shingles, flu, RSV, Hepatitis B, HPV, pneumococcal, Tdap and COVID-19 will be available for attendees courtesy of Kroger.

The conference of National Black Churches, Dedicated Senior Medical Center, Help to Moms, Nashville Diaper Connection and CEO Roundtable on Cancer are also supporting this event. Dr Donald Alcendor of Meharry Medical College and Reverend Daryl A Ballard II of St Luke CME Church will also attend the event at 2008 Ed Temple Blvd in Nashville.
