Aaron Jones, the Green Bay Packers running back, is expected to miss the upcoming game against the Detroit Lions after sustaining a knee injury during the team’s win over the Los Angeles Chargers. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Jones has been diagnosed with an MCL sprain and is unlikely to play on Thanksgiving.
In addition to Jones’ injury, the Packers also saw Emanuel Wilson leave the game with a shoulder injury. Both players were unable to participate in practice on Monday. As a result, the team signed Patrick Taylor to the active roster to join AJ Dillon, while veteran James Robinson was added to the practice squad.
This is not the first time Jones has missed game time this season, as he was sidelined for three games earlier with a hamstring injury. So far this season, Jones has recorded 66 carries for 245 yards and two touchdowns in the seven games he has played.
