In a recent study conducted by WalletHub, Ohio was identified as one of the states with the weakest economies in the United States. The study analyzed economic indicators for all 50 states and Washington D.C., focusing on three major dimensions – economic activity, economic health, and innovation potential – across 28 different metrics, including median household income, business growth, and unemployment rate.
Ohio ranked 42nd in the study, making it the state with the 10th worst economy according to WalletHub. Despite this poor ranking, Ohio performed slightly better in its rankings for economic health (39) and innovation potential (33).
