Parliamentary Election Results: A Look at Those Who Lost Their Seats

In the recent parliamentary elections, many deputies of the 10th convocation fought for a new term in office. However, not everyone was successful in gaining a new mandate. Among those who did not win were the Social Democrats, 18 of them, who were founded in the fall of 2022 after being expelled from the SDP. The voters decided that there was no longer a place for them in the legislative representative body.

Despite being the third political force in the country, the Homeland Movement failed to gain enough trust from voters to win a mandate in the third constituency. Entertainer Davor Dretar Drele also lost his seat despite winning 4,703 preferential votes. Katarina Peović and Karolina Vidović Kristo will no longer be seen in parliamentary debates as they also failed to gain a new mandate. The Reformists, who had one mandate in the last convocation, will not have a representative in Parliament this time either.

Bojan Glavašević, a former independent representative, also lost his seat despite running on the Rijeka pravde list and winning 6.5 percent of preferential votes. His name is on the list for the European Parliament, so his defeat does not mean farewell to politics entirely. Ermina Lekaj Prljaskaj, who represented Albanian national minority also bid farewell to parliamentary benches following her defeat in these elections.
