Bernie Clarke, a dedicated volunteer at the Lake Placid Ecumenical Food Pantry, was seen tirelessly working at the stuffing station of the Thanksgiving bag assembly line. Along with other volunteers, they spent over an hour on Monday morning packing bags to distribute to those in need. Linda Young, the organizer of the event, estimated that they would distribute around 275 bags of food throughout the day.
The community’s support and commitment to helping those less fortunate were evident in the team’s efforts. The bags of food packed by the volunteers would go on to make a significant difference for many families during the holiday season. The Lake Placid Ecumenical Food Pantry’s mission to provide food security to the community has been a crucial aspect of their work. The dedication of volunteers like Bernie Clarke and Linda Young has been instrumental in their ability to provide support to those in need. This demonstration of care and generosity has made a significant impact on the lives of many families in the Lake Placid area.
