Pyongyang’s Pursuit of Military Dominance: Insights into North Korea’s Latest Test and Sanctions

In recent days, North Korea has announced the successful testing of a multiple rocket launcher under the supervision of Kim Jong Un. KCNA, the state news agency, reported that the 240 mm shells of the rocket launcher were evaluated satisfactorily during the test. According to KCNA, this new technology is expected to bring a strategic change in strengthening North Korea’s artillery power.

North Korea has been subject to UN sanctions since 2006, which prohibit the development of ballistic missiles and nuclear weapons.
