The Baltimore Ravens are taking a significant step towards breaking the cycle of limited access to higher education for marginalized communities by investing in College Track, a program that helps students from underserved communities become the first in their families to earn a degree. The Ravens, along with The Stephen and Renee Bisciotti Foundation and the M&T Charitable Foundation, will contribute $20 million to launch the Baltimore Ravens College Track Center. This center will provide resources to students in Baltimore who aspire to attend college.
Ravens president Sashi Brown expressed the organization’s belief in the transformative power of education and the youth of Baltimore. By partnering with College Track and M&T Bank, the Ravens are taking tangible action to support underserved students in their educational pursuits. The investment in College Track, Bridges Baltimore, and College Bound will help thousands of promising youths in Baltimore reach their full potential.
College Track currently operates 12 centers across the country and aims to support students in achieving their educational goals. In addition to the $20 million for the College Track Center, the Ravens and Bisciotti Foundation will donate $30 million over the next decade to three organizations dedicated to providing access to higher education in Baltimore.
This initiative by the Ravens is a significant step towards breaking the cycle of limited access to higher education for marginalized communities. By providing financial support and resources, the Ravens and Bisciotti are making a meaningful impact on the lives of many students who may not have had the opportunity to pursue their educational dreams.
