CVLT’s CAPE VLT-640 Triple has completed a load testing process and received certification under the Lloyd’s Register Code for Lifting Appliances in a Marine Environment (CLAME). The product withstood a load of 3,245 tons during the testing, which establishes its Safe Working Load (SWL) for lifting piles up to 2,400 tons.
The company will now deploy the Triple for the upending and installation of monopiles for the Moray West offshore wind turbine and offshore substation platform foundations. After the initial installation, the piles will undergo the final penetration phase using an impact hammer.
